Text with a flashing background

Give your video intros a boost with PlayPlay! In this quick tutorial, we’ll show you how to create an eye-catching, professional background-flashing effect—a simple, fast trick to grab your viewers' attention from the very first seconds of your presentations or interviews.

Creating the initial screen

  • Open a PlayPlay project and click "Add a screen."

  • Search for and select the "Catch Line 4" template.

  • Enter your desired word or phrase into the "Title" field in the left-hand panel (e.g., "Encounter").

Setting up alternating colors

  • Duplicate the "Catch Line 4" screen.

  • Click on the second screen, open its "Settings" in the side panel, and change the screen's "Main color" (e.g., switch from blue to purple).

Duplication and creating a flashing effect

  • Select the first two screens in the timeline simultaneously.

  • Duplicate them several times in a row to create a repeating alternation of identical short segments.

Adjusting the rhythm and adding variations

  • Shorten the duration of each screen in the timeline: the shorter the segments, the faster and more dynamic the flashing effect becomes.

  • Optional: change the color of certain segments to introduce a third hue (e.g., red) into the sequence.

Finalization

  • Continue editing the video by transitioning directly to the screen introducing the topic or the guest.
