3 text effects : letter-by-letter, color changes, and text blinking

Discover how to liven up your text in PlayPlay in no time! We reveal three quick and easy tips for applying impactful text effects: letter-by-letter reveal, color changes, and flashing text. Add rhythm to your creations and captivate your audience from the very first seconds.

           Tip 1: The letter-by-letter effect (0:12)

  • Add a new screen, then search for and select the "Title 6" template.

  • Delete the photo so that only the solid background color remains.

  • Replace the text with your desired word (e.g., "New").

  • Count the number of letters in the word (e.g., 7 letters).

  • Duplicate the word within the text box so there is one instance for each letter.

  • Gradually color the lines: the first letter on the first line, the first two on the second line, and so on.

  • Adjust the screen duration in the settings (e.g., set it to 2 seconds) or on the timeline to speed up the animation's pace.

    Tip 2: Changing colors (1:30)

  • Duplicate the screen created in the first step.

  • Reset the color of all the text by selecting it and reapplying the base color.

  • Assign a different color to each line of the repeated word (e.g., pink, orange, green, blue).

Tip 3: Text with a flashing background (2:10)

  • Duplicate the base screen again and reset the colors.

  • Use the highlight tool (bucket icon) to apply a background color to every other line.

  • Play the video to create a dynamic flashing background effect for the text.
